On 12/08/2014 we had our Architectural Aesthetic Design lecture. For this lecture we were told to bring 30 empty matches and a human model for our own body measurements which was scale down to 1:10 scale.
In the starting we were told to design a space of our own i.e. our favorite space using the match boxes we had, and then we were told to document it. And then we were told to keep our human model on it, the space designed was not proportionate to the human model we had as we had designed the space according to us. And then we were told to design the space using the same match boxes, the space should be proportionate to the human model we had. Here we learnt importance of scale and proportions. And then we were told to make a tall structure using the same match boxes we had in this we learnt the stability, design, appearance of the structure.
After all these exercise’s we were divided into groups of 3 people each and told to design a space where friends usually meet with all the 90 match boxes we had. And then we were told to make the elevation plan of it.
