Site Analysis

As mentioned in the earlier blog of site analysis behind our college campus, we had to make a site analysis sheet that would comprise of data related to the site.

we had to graphically represent these 40 points that we had listed down on the sheet:-

Light Quality.
Latitude and Altitude.
Vista/Views.
Wind Protection.
Natural Vegetation.
Position on the Globe.
Water Availability.
Climate.
Sun Direction(shadow direction).
Land Quality.
Soil Quality.
Environment.
Division of land.
Field Texture.
Existing structures.
Study of Materials.
North Direction.
Level of Land.
Surroundings of the site.
Measurement of the site.
Ground Water Level.
Wild Life Habitation.
Disaster.
Vantage points.
Temperature.
Nearby Resources.
Access.
Legality of Land.
History of Site.
Land Contamination.

So there were a lot of aspects that we had to look at before putting data on to paper. for eg:-  We actually had to understand the sun direction, the wind direction, the mapping of the site, the light quality, the ground water table, etc.

This was my site analysis sheet

It comprises of sun,wind directions, the direction to the site, the two sectional elevations, the surrounding, man made features, the activities that the people living there do, nearest transport medium, the various surrounding aspects affecting the site.
